So Wednesday last week I did a talk on Sound healing at the very lovely Serenity Centre near Basingstoke. If you ever get the chance to go over there, do so because it really is a centre which has fantastic energy & great workshops happening at the moment. (Well done Helen, keep up the good work!) It really is facinating how Sound is so easily absorbed & how well it works on the body. It's all about vibration & keeping your body funtioning at it's own optimum frequency.
Then Friday I had the chance to go to the Celtic Manor in Newport. A 5 star spa with wonderful facilities with my sister for her 40th birthday treat! We treated ourselves to a Rassul! Anyone who doesn't know what one of these is, it's where you go inside a turkish styled room & slather yourself up in different muds. (& do pay attention at this point because we didn't & ended up with mud in all the wrong places I'm sure!) Then the steam comes in & you sweat out the impurities whilst the minerals from the mud are absorbed in. Then hot showers rain down from the ceiling & you wash yourself off. (My sister still had mud on her leg when we got out!) Lunch was next in a rather exclusive diners club area with a fantastic view of the valley around. (Rather healthy & yummy as well!) I then had a facial at 2.00pm & my sister had a full body treatment. Back to the pool & sauna & a spell in the jacuzzi & we were all done for the day. A great relax & highly recommened. They do good deals on the internet for treatments too. Another weekend & we were busy helping look after my sister's children whilst she went off to London to be wined & dined by hubby. It was the school fate! Charlie did two lots of steel drum playing which made me a very proud auntie indeed! It was well organised, with morris dancers (of which, yes, I admit I did have a go at!) & then there was a tank the kids could go & explore, bouny castle in the gym, tea & cake room as well as burgers & hotdogs. The day was blessed with good weather & the kids were a joy. (Apart from my own who seemed to be a little jealous of my spending time with the others! Mmm!) Yesterday we took the time to go to Avebury! One of those magical places where the vibe is just awesome! We had a great day & I took the time to meditate & sing into some of the stones. That was quite incredible. Some of them have very different pitches but once I'd got the right note, it really seemed to buzz with excitement! I was enveloped in a power vortex which rose up out of the ground & enveloped both me & the stones. I felt like the stones were giving me a virtual hug in gratitude afterwards. Wonderful day. Again, the kids were very well behaved. (Even mine was slightly less wingey!) Looking forward this week to the Drumming Circle on Wed which I've not run before, so quite excited! X x
