Ok, so I know what you're thinking, why is Heather blogging about Cheryl Cole?! Well, I do read the papers, occasionally & despite my better judgements, I do read some of those fashion mags as well sometimes. So I felt the need to back our Geordie’s corner after she was kicked out of the U.S Version of the X Factor. In the report, they were saying that the American's wouldn't understand her accent & they had her go to elocution lessons to help her stamp out her accent. Ridiculous! Anyway, they also said she'd put on weight & that against Paula Abdul she looked huge. Well, have you seen Paula Abdul?! The woman is teeny tiny. I would look like Giant Haystacks next to her! Then apparently, she wasn't promoting herself enough in the run-up to the show. i.e. she wasn't doing enough interviews etc. Cheryl has a team right? It's not all down to her to sort these things out! Her team were also failing her. Anyway, Simon should have been fighting her corner to get Fox TV to give her a second chance. Why on earth drag her all the way over there just to be humiliated if he didn't believe in her in the first place? The upshot of this is, if they'd wanted someone to sound more American & someone who was better known to the Americans why, for goodness sake didn't they just pick an American to do the job? No, instead they take poor Cheryl, who's had enough heartache in her life recently from Ashley & her malaria scare that she didn't really need this as well. Well, too bad U.S because she is a Geordie & she, undoubtedly, will be back in her own imitable style!

This morning I had the feeling I should be checking the weather forecast but I didn't have time to do it. Around 12.50pm it decides it's going to chuck it down and my little girl has no rain coat & neither do I for that matter. Luckily for me, my brother came into work with her raincoat in hand! (& when I went to the car, the heavens were nice to me & it was sunny :D) Anyway, the message of this is that when I have an intuitive moment, I have to listen to those inner voices & follow the world of synchronicity that surrounds me, otherwise I might miss something rather worldly & wise. This was obviously just a simple act of listening to help me with the showery weather but what if it had been something more than that? What if I'd have gotten one of my 'feelings' I needed to get in touch with someone that really needed my help? You mustn't ignore your inner feelings. Always trust your instincts because 9 times out of 10, they are right.
Here's another example. Last night I decided to have a bath & lit a candle & did a little meditation. The Angels & my guides were saying to me that I should not worry so much, that everything is as how it should be, that I will learn lots from something new on the horizon & just to let things happen & trust they will protect & guide me. I then later learned that someone's angel card reading said just that & she'd messaged about it on Facebook! How in tune was I last night!? So, I can do it. Perhaps I am becoming a lot more 'tuned in' than what I'd realised? Probably. I just need to focus on it & make it stronger now. Love & light to you all. X x So, went along to the Mind Body Spirit recenlty on the last Bank holiday & noticed how many leaflets were thrust into my hand without my opportunity to say politely, no thank you. There are a number of organisations who do not charge for their readings or services for the show, they are just happy to be there to promote their work but there's also a lot of others who are there purely to make some money. I grant you, you do need to make a profit, especially if it's your only means of making a living but I wonder how many of those are really 'coming from the heart' or how many are just purely in it because they know they can make good money at these shows?
I wasn't going to go this year but decided last minute that I would & met one of my good friends up there & also an old friend I used to know from my Medau training days. I also bought my sister a present for her 40th birthday, so it was worthwhile me going. One lady who was definitely singing from the heart was the rather beautiful Chakrini, who does Kirtan singing. http://www.chakrini.com/ Check out the website. She is on You tube as well but the clips on there don't really do her justice. Ironically, she was there promoting her new album but she won me over with her geniune love for her art & fantastic God-given voice, soaring up into the rooftop of the horticultural halls. Certainly highlight of my day. Enjoy the clips everyone. X x |
